Create? or Not to create?

Create defined: to bring (something) into existence

to cause (something) to happen as a result of one's actions

Growing up I always thought I didn't believe in the superficial. I would always say it's not true if you break a mirror, you would have seven years bad luck. Some would say they didn't like black cats or do not have an umbrella up in the home, it's bad luck. I have also heard don't sweep at a certain time or you will sweep up unwanted company. When I think about it, I entertained these superstitions. What I didn't know, is that I was giving power to an outside source. I was giving power to inanimate objects and ideals. My belief system had been compromised.

Belief defined: trust, faith, or confidence in someone or something.

My belief originated as a child and was shaped by what my parents instilled in me. That then expanded when I started going to school and I began to believe what I wanted to. Growth and maturity awakened and my intellect elevated. I was then becoming my own. Along the way I picked up a whole world of assumptions and beliefs that now define who I am. That is where the power in the superstition and giving power to the inanimate objects and ideals derived.

On today November 8, I began to think about the life I am creating for myself. I pondered the dreams and goals and future aspirations for myself and my family. I began to listen to motivational spoken word. That is when a light came on in my brain. That is the defining moment I knew I had given power to so many other things in my life and it was misplaced. All that power giving in superstition, inanimate objects, and ideals was suppose to given to me. Giving power to other things is just an excuse and scapegoat.

This blog is titled Create? or not Create? because your life is created by you and you alone. So, will you create or not? Will you give power to things that does not benefit you? Over the years I know we've put trust into so may things to get to the place where we want. We look to the lottery, stealing, embezzling, prostitution, etc. Really whatever it takes to get ahead. Instant gratification is the driving force and not creating what you want and watching that manifest in your life.

There is power in your mindset. There is power in you. You do not need anything to be successful than what is inside you. Let go of the superstitions and false ideals and place that power in you. Stop giving power to people and things and take the responsibility for the outcome of your life. No if's, and's, or but's. Create today!
